From answers to actions: what's new in Younium MCP

For the past several months, Younium MCP has let finance and RevOps teams ask their AI real questions about subscription and billing data, like average ACV, current CMRR or unpaid invoices, and get answers straight from Younium, live.

Today, it can do more than answer.

With full access, the same connection that answers "what's our current CMRR?" can also draft the renewal quote that follows from it, update a subscription, or log usage, without you leaving the conversation.

It also goes deeper on the questions. Your AI can now pull MRR, ARR, churn and TCV broken down by month, country, product or owner. It can break revenue changes into new business, expansion, contraction and churn, show receivables by age, and forecast cash flow by month.

The part that matters more than the feature

Letting an AI act on financial data only works if it can't do anything you wouldn't approve yourself. So every write action in Younium MCP falls into one of two tiers:

• Draft-stage actions: building a quote, creating a draft invoice, logging usage. These change nothing financially. Nothing is billed, booked or sent until you take the next step.

• Anything with real consequences: posting an invoice, activating or changing a subscription, sending a quote to a customer, registering a payment. These come back as a plain-language preview showing the amounts, account and dates. Nothing happens until you give an explicit approval that works only once and expires after 15 minutes.

That approval is also tied to what you saw. If someone else changes the record, or you switch legal entity, before you confirm, nothing happens and you get a fresh preview.

And every action runs as you: your own Younium login, your own permissions, in your current legal entity. Your AI can't do anything in Younium that you couldn't already do yourself.

Your role decides, and you approve

• Your role decides. Your AI can only use the tools your Younium role allows. Anything you don't have permission for is either hidden or refused. Roles can differ between legal entities, so what your AI can do follows you as you switch.

• Actions need your approval. With full access, anything with financial impact comes back as a plain-language preview first. It only runs once you approve it.

Where to use it

Connect Younium to the AI tools your team already uses, including Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor, or any MCP client that supports OAuth sign-in. Younium hosts it, so there's nothing to install and no API keys to manage. You add the server address, then sign in with your normal Younium account, SSO included.
