Younium CPQ — March 2026
Younium launched CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) as a native part of the platform, positioned as a quote-to-revenue engine rather than a standalone quoting tool. The stated design goal is to eliminate the gap between sales quoting and subscription billing that causes revenue leakage in most B2B SaaS businesses.
Younium CPQ supports all Younium pricing models including bundles, ramp deals, tiered pricing, and complex multi-charge structures. It includes approval workflows and pricing guardrails, professional quote PDF generation with customizable templates, external sharing and e-signature integration with any provider, and quote status tracking with pipeline and conversion metrics.
The HubSpot integration was updated in conjunction with this launch. Sales teams can now create and manage quotes directly inside HubSpot through an embedded Younium CPQ interface, without leaving the CRM. Closed deals are automatically transferred to Younium to create subscription orders, with data syncing back to HubSpot for full visibility.
CPQ is designed to be ready to use from day one without lengthy implementation projects.
MCP Server — Beta Released November 2025
Younium released an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server in beta in November 2025. The MCP server acts as a secure gateway between AI assistants and Younium's subscription and billing data, enabling AI tools to query live business data without direct database access.
The server is available at mcp.younium.com and supports two authentication methods: API key and secret (for developer tools and local environments such as Cursor), and OAuth (for hosted AI platforms such as ChatGPT or Claude).
The MCP server exposes five read-only methods: retrieve a list of customers with sorting and pagination, retrieve financial metrics for a specific customer, retrieve all subscriptions for a specific customer, retrieve financial metrics for a specific subscription, and retrieve invoices for a specific customer with status filtering and date sorting.
Data access is read-only, protecting the financial system of record while enabling AI-powered analysis. The server follows strict protocols for authentication, data privacy, and method validation.
Self-Service Portal — Launched 2025
Younium launched a Self-Service module allowing SaaS companies to offer their customers a branded portal for managing their own subscriptions. Customers can use the portal to handle upgrades, renewals, and invoice requests independently, reducing support tickets and accelerating expansion revenue.
All setup and configuration is handled in the Younium UI without custom code or third-party integrations. The portal supports branding, subscription rules, and customer-facing options. Enabling the feature for existing customers requires contacting Younium support.
Paywall — Launched 2025
Younium launched a Paywall product allowing customers to deploy a no-code subscription checkout for digital products. The Paywall connects subscription management with payment collection and provides an automated checkout experience for end-customers.
Configuration is done entirely within the Younium UI with no custom code required. The Paywall supports recurring monetization and integrates with Younium's existing webhook system. Events from Paywall transactions always include a source field set to "Paywall" and a shared correlation ID linking all events in a single checkout transaction (AccountCreated, InvoicePosted, PaymentPosted, SubscriptionActivated).
New UI — June 2025
Younium rebuilt its entire frontend codebase and launched a redesigned user interface in June 2025. This was described as the foundation for ongoing UX improvements through 2025 and beyond.
What changed: the platform received a cleaner visual design, faster load times, and smoother navigation. The core functionality, field structure, and workflows remained the same. Dark mode, light mode, and primary color customization were introduced for accessibility.
The most significant structural change was a redesign of the Quotes interface. Quotes now mirror the layout of Orders, with a header at the top, quote details on the left, product and charge lists in the center, and metrics and special settings on the right.
Additional improvements included a redesigned top panel in Orders showing status, version, and dates at a glance, and charges now opening in a side modal with a cleaner layout and additional pricing fields.
Ongoing UX improvements continued through Q2 and Q3 2025, with further enhancements to common tasks such as creating invoices, updating orders, and managing subscriptions. Upcoming additions to Quotes flagged at launch included support for invoice currency, payment terms, and order discounts.
GoCardless Integration — June 2025
Younium launched a direct debit payment integration with GoCardless, a global bank payment provider used by over 100,000 businesses across 30-plus countries. The integration was announced in February 2025 and released in June 2025.
The integration combines Younium's subscription invoicing with GoCardless's automated bank payment collection. Younium creates and manages the invoices; GoCardless handles the transaction and reconciliation. The combination is designed to reduce payment failures, eliminate manual reconciliation, and automate the accounts receivable workflow. GoCardless covers 30-plus countries, supporting international billing.
Stripe Micro-Deposit Verification — May 2025
Younium added support for Stripe micro-deposit verification, enabling ACH bank account verification for US-based customers using Stripe as their payment connector.
ZUGFeRD German E-Invoicing Compliance — 2025
Younium added support for the ZUGFeRD invoice format to comply with German e-invoicing regulations that took effect in 2025. ZUGFeRD is a hybrid PDF format that embeds structured XML data compliant with the EU standard EN 16931 into a standard PDF invoice.
When enabled, all posted PDF invoices are generated and stored as ZUGFeRD PDFs. The embedded XML is invisible to customers using a standard PDF viewer; it becomes meaningful only when the PDF is imported into a ZUGFeRD-compatible accounting or ERP system.
Enabling ZUGFeRD requires activating "Attach ZUGFeRD XML to invoice" in Settings at both the global level (Settings, Invoices, Invoice settings) and at the individual account level. A default setting is available to auto-enable ZUGFeRD for all new accounts. The legal entity and buyer address fields must be complete for validation to pass when posting invoices.
Mass Price Index Adjustments — 2025
Younium added a tool for applying price index adjustments across multiple orders simultaneously. This supports annual price increase processes where contract terms include CPI or custom index-linked escalation clauses.
Mass Revert Orders — 2025
Younium added mass revert functionality, allowing multiple orders to be reverted to previous versions in bulk rather than one at a time.
HubSpot Integration Enhancements — Ongoing 2024–2026
The HubSpot connector received significant updates over this period. The full list of current capabilities includes account synchronization from HubSpot companies to Younium accounts, creation of Younium orders directly from closed HubSpot deals, Younium Quotes as an embedded widget inside HubSpot deals, synchronization of Younium orders to HubSpot custom objects for reporting and workflows, and live Younium data widgets on HubSpot company records showing orders, charges, and invoices.
Support was added for change order opportunities, where a closed deal in HubSpot can trigger a change to an existing Younium subscription rather than creating a new one. A configurable dialog allows sales teams to select which fields are exposed when creating a change order opportunity.
Salesforce Integration Enhancements — Ongoing 2024–2025
The Salesforce integration package received multiple updates including the ability to have a closed-won opportunity both renew and change a subscription for its upcoming term using the "Next renewal term (months)" field, an editable tiers feature in the product selector, a configurable change order dialog on Younium Orders in Salesforce, and a new Younium Log object for tracking integration activity.
Next Generation Insights — Released 2024
Younium released a significantly upgraded Insights module. This replaced the previous pre-calculated KPI dashboards with a more flexible real-time analytics system.
Key capabilities include real-time pre-calculated KPIs including MRR, ARR, and NRR, the ability to extract MRR data at the booking level to distinguish new bookings from expansions and churn, customizable charts and dynamic filters by time period, currency, and entity, breakdown of revenue changes by classification (New Business, Expansion, Contraction, Churn), and support for both contracted and recurring revenue views for financial planning.
AI Co-Pilot and Conversational Insights — Beta Launched November 2024
Younium announced AI-powered features in November 2024, entering beta testing with two capabilities: an AI assistant that allows users to query subscription data in natural language, and an AI co-pilot that can create and execute actions within the Younium application.
These features were described as the beginning of a broader move toward agentic AI in financial operations, where data informs and drives decisions rather than simply being reported.
